Jesus’ first miracle occurs at a wedding feast in Cana. Christian marriage centers on mutual joy and lifelong commitment and marks a great celebration within a couple’s life. At Saint Richard's, we are thrilled to share in your joy!
If you are planning to get married at Saint Richard's, here are a few requirements to keep in mind:
- Be an active member, the child or grandchild of an active member, or in the process of becoming a member of Saint Richard’s.
- After your wedding has been approved, Saint Richard’s requires at least six months between approval and ceremony. Once approved, the date will be placed on the church calendar.
- Pre-marital counseling is required prior to marriage by the Episcopal Church. The couple is expected to attend four one-hour sessions with our rector or the clergy-person performing the ceremony. It is the responsibility of the couple to schedule these sessions and to have
them completed before the wedding day.
For further guidelines regarding the service, photography, and fees, please see our Wedding Booklet.
Please keep in mind that during this COVID season, further restrictions may be placed on your wedding to ensure the safety of you, your guests, and our staff. Please be respectful of those requirements so that we can help you have the best day possible!
