  • Mask Making Efforts

We have had several inquiries regarding mask making efforts to help local hospitals and other organizations who are faced with possible shortages of this precious commodity. If you would like to assist, I ask that you please email or phone Mary Ann Conkel at maconkel@gmail.com, (512) 925-9758, who will be organizing this effort for the St. Richard's community.

Regarding specific types of masks, it appears, for now, that the need is for tight-weave breathable cotton COVERS for the n95 masks -- single or double layers WITHOUT INTERFACING with 2-3 pleats and with four 14" ties -- final product about 7-1/2" X 5-1/2".  Some have suggested that ties made from bias tape are effective.

  • Giving Via St. Richard's Website or Text & Give

You may give via our website Here or an even easier way is to Text and Give. Just enter 73256 in your text number pad, then STRICHARD as the message. You will receive a link to enter payment info. You can select where you would like the funds to go.

  • Search Committee Update

Thanks to Zoom, FaceTime, and the Internet, your search committee is continuing to meet and function during the Covid-19 pandemic. We have held meetings and interviewed clergy via Zoom and have conducted virtual tours of the St. Richard’s campus via FaceTime.  The search is still on track though slightly inconvenienced and delayed by the repercussions of Covid-19.  We anticipate being able to present a rector candidate to the vestry once the travel and meeting restrictions are eased.  Please continue to pray for your search committee, the vestry, and our prospective candidates. – Duke DuTeil, Search Committee Chair.

  • Round Rock Area Serving Center Update

Round Rock Area Serving Center is seeing a tremendous increase in demand for food and financial assistance for prescription, utilities, etc. in our community. To protect everyone, the Serving Center is doing drive up food distributions on Monday- Wednesday-Friday each week from 11 am-2pm.  Request for financial assistance are being accepted by phone. If you or someone you know needs assistance, please phone the Serving Center at 512 -244-2431 or visit the website at www.rrasc.org

Our Parish Work Day scheduled for April 18th is canceled as the building is closed and NO Donations except for canned food are being accepted during this time. You however can help by dropping off any plastic trash bags you may have in the purple barrels outside on the Serving Center driveway, just drive up and drop off.  Financial contributions are greatly needed as the Treasures Clothing, Furniture and Gift shop are closed and funds raised from these areas support the purchase of food for the pantry. Your generous financial donations can be made online at www.rrasc.org.  The number of volunteers helping with food distribution is extremely limited at this time to allow for adequate social distancing and to protect everyone’s health. We will all be needed as soon as the Serving Center is able to return to regular  operations which is currently planned for May 11. In the meantime, please pray for Serving Center clients and staff.  Updates will be provided regularly. Thank you for your support of the Serving Center. Should you have questions, you may contact Cady Clark at cadyclark@austin.rr.com or 512-791-1025, please be sure to leave a voicemail.
