wElCOME to our Youth MInistry Page!

We Believe that each student is vitally important to this community

and that the Lord is drawing us each closer!

St. Richards Youth Ministry strives..

"to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming.

Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work."

Ephesians 4:12-16

Youth Group

*Due to Covid-19, 6-12th Graders are meeting on Zoom each week.

Join us at 4pm on Sundays!

Youth Group normally meets on Sunday Nights from 6-8:00 pm. This includes a meal or heavy snacks, interactive games and devotional time/bible study. We share life together, laugh together and make space for students to reflect upon our blessings and offer up prayers to our Lord. Our Youth Ministry takes annual Mission Trips. Previous trips have included Colorado

Join a Youth Small Group

High School and Middle School Small Groups meet regularly throughout the school year with peers their age.

Stay tuned for our 2020-21 Small Group opportunities.

Serve Together

We are committed to serving in the community with a variety of local partners such

as Love Serve Feed, the Round Rock Area Serving Center and Ronald McDonald House

We also partner with Honduras Good Works and look forward to serving together!

Volunteer at St. Richard's

Our youth are an invaluable part of our community and regularly offer up their musical talents and acolyte on Sundays. If you would like to play an instrument in our church services or sing with our choir, email Scott McNulty. Our youth also help with St. Richard's  monthly church luncheon and with the Annual Pumpkin Patch and Festival. Each year we cook and serve the Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper and lead our Youth Sunday Service, and more!

Community Connections

Throughout the year we gather with other churches and ministries in our community. During the

2019-20 school year St. Richard's helped with Fields of Faith at Round Rock High School and partnered

with churches of several denominations for a Discipleship Now weekend.

Confirmation

Each year we classes for students and families who wish to be confirmed.

Here is a Video from Bishop Michael Curry about what Confirmation is all about!

Happening Retreats

The Happening Experience

"A Happening is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Through this experience, Happening encourages participation in one's own parish and youth group. Is Christianity relevant to youth today? Can it penetrate the many areas of school life? Can it transform the world and keep up with changing times? The Happening movement thinks so..."

For questions regarding Happening, contact Stephanie Townes, Missioner for Congregational Vitality: Youth and Young Adults.

Jesus said, “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven” Matthew 5:14-16

We learn more about our faith each week and hope you will join us on this journey!
