Daughters of the king (dok)

The Order of the Daughters of the King (DOK) is a spiritual sisterhood of women dedicated to a life of prayer, service and evangelism. As individuals, our goal is to grow closer to God through prayer and Bible study so that we may serve in whatever capacity our gifts and talents allow.

We meet each month on the first Sunday after the 10:30 service in the Ridley room. We will be starting a training for anyone who interested in joining the order. If you want information or want to register for the class, please contact Linda Parry.

Episcopal Church women (ecw)

ECW is a national organization of the Episcopal Church with chapters all around the United States.

"Since 1871, the National Episcopal Church Women, ECW, have championed women’s rights and the Christian foundation of God and family. They are an affiliate of the Episcopal Church and celebrate that Episcopalians believe in a loving, liberating, and life-giving God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Their women’s ministry and children’s programs feed, educate, and provide community grants around the world. They are a volunteer organization that creates a legacy for Episcopal Church Women to lead future generations with stewardship in Christ."

All women attending St. Richards are automatically eligible to participate in ECW activities, which includes fellowship, Bible study, retreats, outreach and support for families within the church. If you are interested in ECW, please contact the Church Office at (512) 255-5436.

Episcopal veterans fellowship

Episcopal Veterans Fellowship is a community of veterans assisting each other in the transition back to civilian life through confidential, non-judgmental fellowship. By focusing on the soul repair needed after experiencing moral injury, post-traumatic stress, and survivor guilt, veterans at Saint Richard's help lead one another toward reconciliation. The EVF model is fashioned after the Hospitallers of St. Martin of Tours (a patron saint of warriors) who received the Crusaders home from war in the Eleventh Century. St. Richard’s EVF meets in the  Parish Hall, Room 1 on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month at 11:00 a.m.  Any local area veteran is welcome. Contact Warren Gillespie for more information.

Brotherhood of ST. Andrew

The Brotherhood of St. Andrew at Saint Richards Episcopal Church is part of an international ministry of men within the Anglican Communion who are committed to the spread of Christ’s Kingdom among men and boys through the disciplines of prayer, study, and service. Any adult male interested in joining us to further Christ’s Kingdom is welcome. We meet every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. for fellowship, the sharing of personal concerns and requests, intellectual stimulation, spiritual renewal, and project planning. Join us on one or both occasions. For more information contact Mike Wooten.
