Vestry – Brent Saxon

BRENT SAXON

I often joke that “I married into the Episcopal Church,” and in many ways, that’s true. In 1994, I began attending St. Richard’s with my now-wife’s family, and we were married there in 1998. Coming from a more evangelical background, I was drawn to St. Richard’s welcoming spirit and liturgy, and it quickly became my spiritual home. I was baptized and confirmed at St. Richard’s, and it has been our spiritual foundation for nearly three decades.

Throughout the years, I’ve had the privilege of serving our parish and community in various capacities—first as an officer in the Brotherhood of St. Andrew, later as a member of the Stewardship Committee, and as a volunteer with the EYC prior to the hiring of our Youth Minister. Currently, I serve as the Charter Organization Representative and Advancement Chair for Boy Scout Troop 154. Beyond scouting, I am involved in youth baseball through the JC7 Foundation and RBI Austin, and I serve on the vetting committee of the Austin Board of Realtors.

Professionally, I transitioned from engineering to commercial real estate about ten years ago, focusing on brokerage, leasing, property management, and investment opportunities. As an Associate with DH Realty Partners, I’ve honed my skills in negotiation, project management, and client relations. Each role has strengthened my expertise in strategic planning, process improvement, and team leadership. I believe in leading by influence and collaboration, building consensus, and empowering others to achieve shared goals.

I am excited about the opportunity to continue serving St. Richard’s Episcopal Church and to contribute my organizational expertise, diverse experience, and problem-solving skills to help guide the parish’s growth and mission-driven work.
