The Round Rock Area Serving Center (RRASC), located at 1099 E. Main, Round Rock, was started by area churches in 1986 to serve the needy in our community. St. Richard’s has been a member since the Serving Center’s inception. In 1990, a total of 1,100 families were served in the entire year. The number of people needing assistance has grown over the years as have the services provided. Program services include the Food Pantry, 34 community gardens, Keep Round Rock Warm, clothing and furniture vouchers, Computers for Kids, assistance with rent, utilities, prescriptions, transportation and temporary lodging. In 2020, 25,478 people were served with compassion and hope while meeting their physical needs.

In 2020 the RRASC's annual Karamu Fundraiser was cancelled due to the pandemic. This year we will have a wonderful event with great food, nationally recognized entertainment and an opportunity join other parishioners in supporting this important cause. Tickets will be available soon at www.rrasc.org, be sure to enter St. Richard’s as your table location so that you will be seated with other parishioners.
