BOBBY SCHMIDT

Bobby and his wife, Kathy have been members of St. Richard’s Episcopal Church since 1998. He has served on the Vestry for 2-three year terms in the past, and served as the Junior Warden during one of these terms.  He also serves as a Lay Reader/Eucharistic Minister and Usher. Bobby has been elected as a delegate or alternate delegate to the Episcopal Diocese of Texas (EDOT) Diocesan Council on three occasions. He has been the director of the Brotherhood of St. Andrew for three terms. Professionally, Bobby worked for the State of Texas for 35 years. He worked in environmental and consumer health, Emergency Medical Services, as the Executive Director for several governor appointed professional licensure boards and retired as the Interim Director for the Center for Health Statistics at the Department for State health Services in 2012.  Bobby returned to state service in 2014 as the Manager of Long Term Care facility licensure at the Health and Human Services Commission. He retired again in 2018 and is enjoying his retirement.  If elected, he will gladly serve as a member of the vestry and would gladly serve as a delegate to the EDOT 174th Diocesan Council.
