Youth Ministry

Saint Richard’s Youth Ministry!

Saint Richard’s believes that our middle and high school students are the church of today, not just tomorrow. We have an active program that meets weekly during the school year and periodically over the summer!

Check out our latest Youth calendar here!

Our youth are empowered to learn and participate in the church by serving as acolytes, readers, greeters, playing instruments and more. We also hold Confirmation Classes ahead of the bishop’s visitation, lead the events such as the Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper and Church-wide Garage Sale, as well as Youth Sunday that includes a Youth Sermon, Music, Readers, etc.

Our youth take the Great Commandment to “love one another” as Christ has loved us seriously and make difference in the wider community. We gather donations and volunteer with the Round Rock Area Serving Center, Love Serve Feed, Texas Baptist Children’s home and Williamson County Juvenile Services.

We serve along side other area churches and denominations each year at a Discipleship Now Retreat Weekend. This year we helped build over 50 beds for children at Sleep in Heavenly Peace and worshiped with 200 students and sponsors from the Round Rock and Georgetown area!

Our students also go on retreats and mission trips. These stretch us and open our eyes and hearts to where God is working beyond our routines and local neighborhood. In 2023, our students traveled to Oklahoma to volunteer at Murrow Indian Children’s Home and in June 2024 they are headed to Puerto Rico!

Many of our Students attend and serve as Counselors at Camp Allen and Camp Capers, attend retreats such as Happening and take fun outings throughout the year.

VBS-2024

Join us for St. Richard’s VBS 2024!

Camp Firelight: “A Summer Camp Adventure with God!”

Saint Richard’s invites ALL children in the community, ages 4 through rising 5th graders, on an exciting journey to come learn about trusting God no matter what situation life brings, knowing God is always with them, and to feel confident in sharing the good news of God’s love through Jesus Christ.

Campers will experience stories through music, drama, games, arts and crafts, science, and even snacks. They’ll learn ways to connect with and trust God back at home, church and every area of their lives through VBS.

Volunteers are also needed! Adults and students (rising 6th graders and older) are invited to serve as Camp Counselors, with Music, Games, Snacks, Crafts and more!
